The BUSINESS MANAGEMENT programme is a Master’s degree delivered in English, designed to prepare you for work in both global and local business environments, where professionalism, ethics, and intercultural collaboration are essential.
This programme is intended for individuals who see their professional career:
- in multicultural organisations and teams,
- in the field of consulting and organisational strategy,
- in companies operating at both global and local levels.
The knowledge acquired during the BUSINESS MANAGEMENT programme will enable you, among other things, to:
- understand how companies operate and how they interact with their environment (clients, partners, and competitors),
- recognise and interpret the dynamics of organisational change and development in the context of success and failure,
- work with business simulations as a method of structuring thinking about business processes,
- apply well-established methods and tools to structure business processes within organisations,
- identify the effects and consequences of business activities both within organisations and in their wider environment,
- build consensus within international and multicultural teams,
- prepare business reports and presentations for a global audience,
- apply effective communication habits in diverse social environments,
- think both systemically and in a business-oriented manner.
Who will teach you?
Classes within the Business Management programme are delivered by:
- lecturers with professional business experience;
- professors from international universities;
- experts with experience in both large and small enterprises.
The combination of academic and business perspectives ensures a practical, up-to-date, and globally-oriented approach to management.
The teaching staff includes, among others:
- dr hab. Ilona Świątek-Barylska, prof. UŁ - An expert in organisational behaviour, competency management, and the management of resources in multicultural organisations.
- dr hab. Ewelina Zarzycka, prof. UŁ - An expert in management accounting, controlling, as well as non-financial and ESG reporting
- dr Jerzy S. Czarnecki - the programme’s Supervisor. An expert in the systems theory, complexity, and organisational architecture. A long-standing lecturer at universities in Canada.

The M.A. in Business Management programme has been accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). The accreditation confirms the compliance with the requirements for efficient functioning, excellence in teaching, professional management, and good relations with business. - possess an advanced understanding of the phenomena and processes occurring within organisations and their environment,
- possess an advanced understanding of methods and techniques relating to business, people, finance, the market, and the future,
- possess an advanced understanding of the determinants and sources of these processes as conceptualised within the social sciences,

- are able to identify and describe methods and techniques used to manage and steer these processes,
- are able to select and adapt appropriate methods and techniques to the nature of organisational phenomena and processes,
- demonstrate readiness to apply a systemic and scientifically-grounded understanding of organisations and their environment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The programme is intended for a group of 30-35 students. Participation in the programme requires that a tuition fee is paid by all students: from the EU (including Poland) and from outside of the EU.
