Enrolment in a Language Course
Between 8 December 2025 (08:00 p.m.) and 15 December 2025 (11:00 p.m.), the system will be open for obligatory enrolment in language classes for 1st-year students. The registration will be possible through the USOSWeb.
You can choose one of the following options:
OPTION 1
Enrolment in a language class in the USOSWeb
You must be aware that all language courses end with the B2 level exam. If you wish to select a foreign language other than English at the beginner’s level (A2/B1), you will have to pass the B2 level exam!
You can choose one of the following courses:
- Business English – B2 level
- Business German – A2/B1 level
- Business Spanish – A2/B1 level
- Business French – A2/B1 level
- Business Russian – A2/B1 level
OPTION 2
Exemption from Business Language class and exam based on an international certificate or any other document certifying your language competence at the B2 level at the very least, included in the Annex to Resolution No. 206 of the Senate of the University of Lodz of June 18, 2021.
In order to proceed with this option:
- submit application for the exemption from the final examination in a modern foreign language (Annex no. 4) and a document certifying your language competence in the Centre for Languages and Certification (149/153 Pomorska Street) in order to obtain the CLC Head’s recommendation by 19 December 2025;
- inform the Dean’s Office until 19 December 2025 that you submitted the application (Annex no. 4) to the CLC; do so via e-mail (marta.ostros@uni.lodz.pl or dominika.gradowicz@uni.lodz.pl);
- submit the CLC’s decision to the Dean’s Office;
- if you choose this option, you do not have to register through the USOSWeb;
grades indicated by the CLC will be uploaded as a decision into the USOSWeb.
OPTION 3
Enrolment in other languages conducted in inter-faculty groups with the requirement of passing the B2 level exam before starting other language courses.
Mostly for students who want to pass the B2 exam and then attend other language classes for beginners.
Available only for students who already passed the placement test at the B2 level at the very least !!!
In order to proceed:
- submit the completed application (Annex no. 5), the result of the placement test, and the declaration (Annex no. 2) to the Dean’s Office (room 16 at the Faculty of Management);
- after the Dean’s approval of the above-mentioned application, the student needs to submit it to the Centre for Languages and Certification (149/153 Pomorska Street);
- pass the foreign language exam in the 2025/2026 winter exam session (the exact date will be announced by the Centre for Languages and Certification);
- upon failing the above-mentioned exam, the student will be automatically assigned to Business English at the B2 level.

You must be aware that all language courses end with the B2+ level exam.
You can choose one of the following courses:
- Business Ethics and CSR (English)
- Decision Making (English)
- Public Sector Economics (English)
- Introduction to Internal Audit (English)
- Projektmanagement in ein internationalen Umfeld (German)
- Smart Cities y gobernanza urbana en la era digital (Spanish)
- Forms of Business Cooperation (Russian)
- Business English – B2 level
- Business English – C1 level
- Business German – B2 level
