Since the beginning, the Department of Computer Science has been conducting research related to the use of information technology in organizations and enterprises. Some of the completed research and projects were co-financed by the Scientific Research Committee. We are currently cooperating with European universities in international programs. The results of the conducted research are the basis of our research development, and are also published in conference materials, articles and monographs.

 

IT tools in the information society in creating sustainable development

The aim of the research is:

  • identification of digital transformation processes of smart and sustainable organizations and public administration units,
  • determining the directions of development of smart power grids related to the Smart idea: Smart home, Smart building and Smart city and the participation of modern IT tools in them: cloud computing, Internet of Things, Big Data analyses,
  • analysis of the possibility of using project management methodologies that support the sustainable development strategy (PRISM) to manage innovative ICT projects.

 

Development of digital services and IT technologies in organizations for knowledge applications

The aim of the research is:

  • analysis of the use of information technologies in organizations and its impact on the digital transformation of business,
  • identification of the impact of cloud computing on the development of ICT in Polish organizations,
  • identification and verification of the possibility of using data management in business,
  • identification and verification of data security standards in the development of the Internet of Things,
  • scheme and state of development of information security and protection standards,
  • technological identification and social Big Data technology,
  • identification and assessment of areas of use of VR and AR technologies in the organizations,
  • analysis of the impact of modern technology - VR, AR and cloud computing on the data architecture in the organization.
