Founded in 1919, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants® (CIMA®) is the world’s leading and largest professional body of management accountants. CIMA is a founding body of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants; its members and candidates operate in more than 150 countries and territories, working at the heart of business — in industry, commerce, the public sector, and not-for-profit organisations.
The CGMA Professional Qualification, offered by CIMA, is a modern blend of finance and business. The exams take the form of realistic simulations that test practical skills and prepare candidates for real-world professional challenges. Starting in 2025, the program places even greater emphasis on problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication, including topics such as sustainability and artificial intelligence.
The program is developed in collaboration with global employers, ensuring it meets current market needs. It teaches sound decision-making and prepares students for careers in finance - regardless of their role. It is a great opportuniy for those who want to combine knowledge with practice and grow in a dynamic business environment.
With CGMA, you will gain financial, digital, and leadership competencies. You will learn to analyze data, think strategically, and advise on key decisions. Graduates work as financial controllers, auditors, CFOs, and banking experts. Importantly, your career position and salary can increase even while you’re still studying.
AICPA & CIMA is partnering with the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz to create the CGMA University Program. Students can advance their studies by gaining professional qualification in management accounting for a competitive edge in the job market.
