The comprehensive course, available through a MOOC, equipped participants with the skills to lead educational institutions towards a Whole Institution Approach (WIA) to sustainability using an innovative methodology.
The next step is to prepare transformation agents to support schools, universities and training providers in navigating the so-called levels of progression – Foundation, Activation, Integration, Embedding and WIA to Sustainability – ensuring systemic integration and a comprehensive approach across the social, organisational and pedagogical pillars.
The training conducted as part of the SUSEDI project is aligned with the global Sustainable Development Goals, including the UN SDGs, and prepares agents for innovative certification in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 17024 standard in September 2025.
Next, the so-called implementation phase is planned, in which certified agents will, based on the SUSEDI self-assessment tool, help interested institutions develop a sustainability plan.
