This is how Julia describes her story:

It all began when I started my studies at the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz, in the Human Resource Management programme. At that time, I had no idea how much my studies would influence my life and lead me to where I am today. At the beginning of my studies, I joined “Personalni” Student Science Club with a simple thought: “I like being active – let’s see what comes of it.” I didn’t expect how much would happen. My first activity was helping at the faculty of Management Alumni Gala – supporting the cloakroom may seem like a small thing, but it is precisely such small contributions that make things happen. In my first year, I also got involved in the Noble Gift – an initiative I had only heard about before. After all, we can do more together than alone. That was also when I became a volunteer at the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity for the first time. During my first year, I also delivered my first (and not last) workshops for high students and university students as part of Academic Workshop. It was a time of steady development and first experiences, although I did not yet realise it was only the beginning.

My second year of studies brought a much faster pace. I started working at Superminds Academy, but despite my new responsibilities, I remained actively involved in the society. I took part in sKOŁOwanie, where I spoke with students about the “Personalni Student Science Club”, and then took over the organisation of recruitment to the Club. Conversations with the team, coordination of activities, planning meetings and contact with candidates – all of this was my responsibility. And it was a success: 34 new members joined, bringing the total number of members to around 64. On 9 November 2023, I became Chair of the Club, and a month later I was appointed an Ambassador of the University of Lodz (3rd edition of the programme).
My second year was marked by social and organisational activities. I coordinated charity initiatives such as Św. Mikołaj dla Seniora and the Noble Gift, continued my involvement in WOŚP, organised events and workshops for high school students and university students, and contributed to university projects. As a UniLodz Ambassador, I created social media content, supported events, and represented the University of Lodz at the Salon Maturzystów Perspektywy in Wrocław, Poznań, Kraków, Warsaw and Łódź.

My third year was even more intense. In addition to all my previous activities, I was also writing my BA thesis. I continued organising charity campaigns, coordinating the club’s work, and developing new projects such as “Randka z Rekruterem”. I was also selected as a UniLodz Ambassador for the second time – this time in the 4th edition of the programme. The number of video materials I produced and workshops I delivered kept growing month by month. I successfully completed my third year by defending my degree.

However, this was not the end of my journey. I began my MA studies in Management at the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz and continue to work with the same energy as before. My involvement in the Club continues, as do all the initiatives and projects that have become a part of my everyday life. This time, I became an Ambassador of the University of Lodz Library, which has brought new challenges and opportunities. I also managed to coordinate support for the “Św. Mikołaj dla Seniora” campaign among the University of Lodz Library Ambassadors. This story is only a brief summary of what has happened and is still ongoing. My time at the university has meant an enormous amount of work, hundreds of hours of activity, dozens – if not hundreds – of people I have met, countless experiences and a range of emotions. Let us remember: life is a journey that gives us opportunities, and it is up to us what we do with them.
