Debates, discussion panels and presentations will be attended by a large group of specialists from over the world, representatives of local governments, universities, municipal organisations, energy but also business, including Annabel Short from the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB), Sabine Zillmer (Spatial Foresight), Janusz Steinhoff (Chairman of the BCC Economic Shadow Cabinet), Adrian Sienicki (Veolia Energia Łódź S.A.), Paweł Lachman (The Industry Agreement for Energy Efficiency POBE Coordinator). The speakers of the Congress will also include a large group of scientists from the University of Lodz: Prof. Dr hab. Tadeusz Markowski, Dr hab. Mariusz Sokołowicz, Dr hab. Dominik Drzazga, Dr Marcin Szymański, Dr Agnieszka Rzeńca, Dr Agata Rudnicka.
The congress participants will discuss the following topics:
- Techniques and technologies in the energy-urban transition
- Construction, spatial planning and urban design in the face of energy transition
- Conditions and consequences of electromobility in individual and public transport
- Spatial planning in the face of the challenges of energy transition
- Dilemmas in developer activity in the face of the challenges of energy transition
- Managing spatial conflicts in the process of energy transition
- The priority of energy resilience in urban and architectural design
As every year, the organiser wants to exchange national and international experiences as well as to formulate recommendations in terms of Polish spatial policy and multi-stakeholder urban policy to support local adaptation strategies.
