The influence of artificial intelligence in academia is growing rapidly, yet many supervisors and early-stage researchers still face uncertainty – both regarding ethical issues and practical skills gaps.
The “AI Researchers” project directly addresses these challenges by:
- understanding the barriers to AI implementation among academic supervisors and higher education leaders,
- training researchers to become confident, responsible AI mentors,
- equipping researchers with certified AI skills in compliance with EU ethical and policy standards, introducing AI knowledge to European universities to ensure long-term institutional change.
The project outcomes include:
- a report on barriers to AI implementation,
- a training manual for AI mentors,
- a certified online course with micro-qualifications,
- a set of recommendations for implementing AI in research for universities.
The project team from the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz, includes:
- Project Manager: dr hab. T. Bartosz Kalinowski, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz
- dr. hab. Artur Modliński, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz
- Dr Dominika Kaczorowska-Spychalska, Assistant Professor at the University of Lodz
